Music Interiors creates custom, fully licensed playlists for luxury retail and hospitality enterprises. The new company asked us to develop an identity that would subtly express its market aspirations with multilayered symbolic cues.
The logo we designed is, at its most basic level, a stylized M and I. It is also a universal power symbol. But we wanted more depth, and so turned for inspiration to the Japanese mon: an emblem, very much like an heraldic crest, that is used to distinguish individuals or to signify membership in a clan or organization.
Paired with our “Your Space Your Sound” tag line, the Music Interiors brand speaks to the highly individualized product it offers, and to the unique businesses it serves.
